Page Publishing Lifecycle Diagram

Nothing goes live by accident

A new page, a duplicate and a copy to another site all start as drafts
Save draft never changes what visitors see
Publishing and unpublishing are separate role permissions

Review is a signpost

Ready for review does not lock the page
Only someone who can publish can send a draft back
Publishing clears the marker

History and schedule

Each page keeps its latest 25 versions to compare and restore
A scheduled change runs as the person who scheduled it
A failed scheduled publish is logged and the page stays as it was
